November 14 - UPCOMING PRESENTATION at 7th European Multidisciplinary Colorectal Cancer Congress (EMCCC) 2014 (Amsterdam, Netherlands)

A poster will be presented during the 7th European Multidisciplinary Colorectal Cancer Congress (EMCCC) 2014 (November 23-25, 2014, Amsterdam, Netherlands). The poster titled “Longitudinal molecular phenotyping of colorectal carcinomas: Concordance of profiles obtained from tissue and liquid biopsies and relation to advanced adenomas” will be presented in „Translation science“ section. It is a result of a collaboration between researchers from Genomac and clinicians at the Department of Internal Medicine, First Faculty of Medicine and the Military University Hospital Prague and the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine, University Hospital Hradec Kralove and it describes an important data on comparison of molecular profiles obtained from different locations of the colon and rectum using DNA from tissue and ctDNA.

November 11 - UPCOMING PRESENTATION at 26th EORTC-NCI-AACR SYMPOSIUM 2014 (Barcelona, Spain)

EORTC BarcelonaA poster will be presented during the annual 26th EORTC-NCI-AACR Symposium on Molecular Targets and Cancer Therapeutics (November 18-21, 2014, Barcelona, Spain). The poster titled “Quantitative mutational assessment of circulating tumor DNA using massively parallel deep sequencing in plasma and urine from advanced colorectal cancer patients” will be presented during the “Preclinical Models” session. The presented data is resulting from a collaboration between the Genomac and Trovagene, Inc., and will present an important data on plasma and urinary ctDNA detection in colorectal cancer patients.

October 12 - UPCOMING PRESENTATION at UEG Week 2014 (Vienna, Austria)

Two posters will be presented during the annual United European Gastroenterology Week (UEG Week), conference (October 18-22, 2014, Vienna, Austria). A poster titled “Clinical utility of applying a simple, low-cost methodic approach to evaluation of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in colorectal cancer patients undergoing surgical treatment” will be presented during the “OTHER LOWER GI DISORDERS II” session. The presented data is resulting from a multi-centre study “Quality evaluation of multimodal treatment in patients with colorectal liver metastatic disease: Mutlicentric study within Czech complex oncology centres” supported by the Czech Ministry of Health grant no. 13640 conducted at Surgical Clinic of 2nd Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University and the Military University Hospital Prague. Another poster titled “Aberrant amplification of receptor tyrosin-kinases (RTK) involved in cell cycle signaling appears to determine prognosis of gastric cancer patients” will be presented during the “OESOPHAGEAL, GASTRIC AND DUODENAL DISORDERS III” session. The latter is a result of a joint project  with the Department of internal Medicine, First Faculty of Medicine and the Military University Hospital Prague.

MAY 06 - POSTER AWARD RECEIVED (DDW 2014, Chicago, USA)

A Genomac poster presentation titled “A long-term follow-up of patients with recurring sporadic polyps: Is there a benefit from mutation testing of adenomatous tissue?” was awarded a Poster of disctinction price during the Digestive Disease Week conference (DDW) in Chicago, USA. The poster presented by Stepan Suchanek, M.D. is an outcome of a joint project together with coworkers at the Department of internal Medicine, First Faculty of Medicine and Central Military Hospital under a grant by the Czech Ministry of Health NT14383.

MAY 06 - UPCOMING PRESENTATION at DDW 2014 (Digestive Disease Week, Chicago, USA)

Three posters will be presented during the annual Digestive Disease Week (DDW) conference (May 3 - 6, 2014, Chicago, USA. A poster titled “EUS-guided biopsies for molecular testing of pancreatic cancer: optimization of experimental parameters for DNA and miRNA extraction and analysis” will be presented during the “Pancreatic Cancer: Risk Factors, Biomarkers and Diagnosis” session and a poster titled “A long-term follow-up of patients with recurring sporadic polyps: Is there a benefit from mutation testing of adenomatous tissue?” will be presented during the “Susceptibility and Hereditary Cancer Syndromes” session.   Both posters are results from a joint project  with the Department of internal Medicine, First Faculty of Medicine and Central Military Hospital.

JANUARY 18 - UPCOMING PRESENTATION at ASCO GI (Gastrointestinal cancers symposium)

Genomac will be presenting a poster during the upcoming ASCO GI 2013 Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium (January 24-26, 2014, San Francisco, CA). The poster titled “Molecular classification of gastric cancers by parallel examination of multiple gene amplifications.” presents data resulting from a collaboration with clinical coworkers at the Department of internal Medicine, First Faculty of Medicine and Central Military Hospital from a project sponsored by the Czech Ministry of Health grant no. NT13640.
