Genetics for a better life

We have been carrying out genetic testing for 25 years. Over that time we have gathered a great deal of knowledge and experience — not only in genetics itself, but also in communicating with enquirers and customers, in the logistics of the whole testing process, in producing results people can understand, and in handling individual cases and requests. That is why we can now provide first-class services and products that are certain to bring something interesting and useful into your life.

Our genetic tests and research are a very frequently sought-after topic for the media. The proof is more than 40 articles — most often in interview form — on Genograf, Genoskop, paternity testing and cancer research, published in dailies and weeklies such as MF Dnes, Lidové noviny, Respekt, Reflex, Maminka, Forbes and others. We have also been guests twice on the programme Sama doma and on several radio programmes on Czech Radio, and we even took part in filming two episodes of the programme Odhalení, where we determined the sex of the baby gorilla Moja.

With us you can choose from a genuinely wide range — not only of tests such as the ancestral origin test (6), the talent and aptitude test (3) or the kinship and paternity test (5). We are the only company in the world offering genetic pictures (4), jewellery (7) and tattoo templates (2), and not only for you but also for your four-legged favourites (4). Under the guidance of our experts, 14 researchers — some just starting out, some well advanced — have successfully completed their academic work: one habilitation thesis (the title doc.), four doctoral theses (Ph.D.), five master's theses (Mgr.) and four bachelor's theses (Bc.). The research that has been carried out here since the very beginning covers a total of 20 large scientific projects supported by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade or the European Union, and has resulted in almost 60 articles published in prestigious international scientific journals.

Our speciality is bringing genetics and its possibilities closer to the general public. That is why RNDr. Lucie Benešová, Ph.D. regularly lectures to primary and secondary school pupils and to adults at various sessions and discussions. Beyond that, our experts have been teaching at the Faculty of Science for more than 10 years and run laboratory practicals, and every year they take part in specialist conferences and meetings at home and abroad, where they present our results. The quality of these lectures has been recognised, for example, by the independent panel at the Brno Oncology Days, where in two separate years it was named the best lecture of the conference.
