Genoportrét® — a picture created from your genetic code

A modern work of art with extraordinary inner value — your genetic essence is encoded in it forever. A tasteful design piece for your interior and a precious legacy for the generations to come.

One to three peopleSINGLE · DUO · FAMILY

Each person is given their own colour, and a further colour is used for the features they share.

A picture created from DNA

Are you a lover of unusual modern art? Do you like to surround yourself with extraordinary things? Would you like to leave behind a legacy for the generations to come? Or are you simply wondering which tasteful design piece to enrich your interior with?

Then Genoportrét® is made for you — a picture created from DNA.

We start from an analysis of your DNA. Every DNA contains several regions unique to one particular person, much like a fingerprint. Using the coding key developed in our laboratory, we convert the values of these regions — the genetic markers — into your Genoportrét®. On top of that you receive a certificate with the values of all the markers and a detailed explanation of what appears where in the picture.

What is the history of Genoportrét®?

The idea of creating a picture that would reflect a person's genetic essence was born back in 2010. As we considered what such a picture should look like, our greatest inspiration was gel electrophoresis — in DNA research it is used as the traditional method for determining the concentration or the length of various DNA fragments.

And a modern work of art was born.

Why should you own a Genoportrét®?

Genoportrét® is a picture of extraordinary inner value, with your genetic essence encoded in it forever. So if you want to immortalise your own uniqueness or a family bond in an original way, Genoportrét® is the right choice for you.

By buying a Genoportrét you also gain a precious legacy that will remain after you for generation after generation.

How many people can be depicted in a Genoportrét?

It is entirely up to you whether you encode the genetic information of your partner, your children or your whole family into the picture.

SINGLE

A Genoportrét depicting one person. Ideal if you want to immortalise your own uniqueness in an original way.

DUO

It captures the genetic profiles of two people — you and your partner, for example. A separate colour is given to the features they share.

FAMILY

A picture with the genetic profiles of three people. At a single glance you can see how genetically similar the people depicted are.

Genoportrét® and Genoportrét® Vision

We offer Genoportréts in two basic versions. They differ in what sits in the background of the picture — the genetic code is your own in both cases.

Genoportrét® — coloured bands of the genetic code on a single-colour background

Genoportrét®

The basic version — a colour composition created purely from your genetic code on a single-colour background, black or white.

Genoportrét® Vision in the DUO version — the genetic code of two people over a photograph of them together

Genoportrét® Vision

The background of the picture additionally carries a photograph of the person or people whose genetic profile is encoded in the Genoportrét. The genetic code and the portrait thus form a single whole.

Sizes, materials and colours

We offer Genoportréts in sizes from S (roughly A4 format) up to XXXL (1500 × 1000 mm). The pictures are printed on the highest-quality materials — alu-dibond (an aluminium panel) or acrylic. From size XL upwards, acrylic versions are supplied reinforced with an aluminium panel set between two acrylic layers (the acrylic-alu-dibond version), which increases their durability.

You can choose from seven basic colour versions on a black or white background. Demanding customers can also choose their own colour combinations by arrangement — making your Genoportrét® easy to match to any interior.

Looking for something smaller for a desk or a shelf? In photograph format we offer the G-miniprint — the little brother of the Genoportrét.

G-miniprint — the little brother of the Genoportrét

The G-miniprint is a picture in photograph size (about 10 × 15 cm) which — just like the Genoportrét® — combines the uniqueness of your genetic code with elegant, timeless design. If you like to surround yourself with extraordinary objects, the G-miniprint is made for you.

The G-miniprint can display the genetic profile of one to three people, just like the full-size Genoportrét®. You can therefore enjoy an unusual photograph of your partner, your children or your whole family. You can choose from the same seven colours on a black or white background.

The G-miniprint in three materials

Each has a slightly different character — choose according to where you want to place it.

G-miniprint — the Acrylic version

Acrylic

10 × 15 cm · 0.5 cm thick

You will love it above all for its colours, which pleasantly brighten up an interior. Acrylic is durable, light and easy to look after — it looks like an unusual framed photograph. A discreet little acrylic stand keeps it stable.

G-miniprint — the Solid glass version

Solid glass

10.5 × 14 cm · 2 cm thick

Its thickness makes it very stable, so it stands on its own without a stand. It can also be laid flat and used, for instance, as an interesting paperweight — there is no limit to your imagination.

G-miniprint — the Alubond version

Alubond

10 × 15 cm · 0.2 cm thick

An exceptionally thin version on an acrylic base coated with a layer of aluminium. The aluminium backing gives every colour an unusual sheen and makes the whole piece look very elegant. Supplied with an acrylic stand.
