Genomac was founded in 2001 as a family business focused on research and services in genetic testing. Today it is the largest private genetics facility in the Czech Republic, with the broadest range of services and the strongest expert base.

Our priorities

Customer satisfaction

Whether you are still just considering genetic testing, have placed your first order with us or keep coming back, we will always do our utmost to make sure you are happy — and that you become as much of a genetics enthusiast as we are.

Honesty and fairness

We present our tests and products truthfully. We do not promise anything today's genetics cannot yet deliver, even though public perception often suggests otherwise. If you are unhappy with anything, or if in exceptional cases we fail to deliver results on the agreed date, we know how to apologise and offer a solution.

Protection of samples and data

We look after your samples carefully. On arrival each one is assigned a unique code under which the whole order is processed, and only at the very end does a senior member of staff link it back to your details in order to prepare and send out the result report.

Flawless results and an expert team

All laboratory procedures follow strictly defined rules that make sample mix-ups impossible. Every analysis is evaluated independently by two members of staff, and the final result then goes through a further independent check.

    Founding of Genomac

    Completion of our first laboratory, in rented premises in a private villa in Prague 6 – Břevnov

    Start of research activity — our first grant, focused on DNA damage analysis in bowel cancer

    Relocation of the laboratories to rented premises in the Mototechna building in Prague 5 – Stodůlky

    Launch of paternity and relationship testing

  4. 2004

    Start of expert forensic work in genetic testing

    Award of two research grant projects (Czech Ministry of Health)

    Launch of the first genealogical genetic tests in the Czech Republic — Genograf®

    Award of the status of “Non-state healthcare facility”
