The first three predispositions were deliberately chosen as a set, because childhood is precisely when their development is decided. Given the right opportunity and an environment with enough of the right stimuli, these predispositions will most likely come through. And the earlier they are supported, the further they develop. Talented children can then go on to excel in a field that comes naturally to them, that they enjoy and that gives them pleasure.

Conversely, if a child lacks the innate predisposition for certain activities (the gene for physical fitness, for example), or carries the gene for an increased risk of addiction or a “night owl” circadian rhythm, parents can adjust their routine so the child is not overloaded in areas that do not suit them, or is kept busy with suitable activities at the right time of day.
